This was actually started by Former Property Head Mr. Christian de Jesus... The first shirt I saw was purple with a simple "Lafayette III" silk screened on it (though they actually started it much earlier). But when you think about it, this simple shirt gives the staff a sense of identity and solidarity... a sense of team... Our staff also use such shirt during weekend "casual day".

2014 Staff Christmas Party
2015 Staff Christmas Party
2016 Staff Christmas Party (NONE)
This year has been somewhat a demoralizing period for staff in Lafayette III history as many of them almost wanted to resign due to the many changes being implemented. There was even a period when our housekeeping staff were ordered to stay up to 11pm so just they can collect cardboard boxes from Uniqlo in order to sell it "por kilo" for income for certain projects. Can you imagine that ???
While recycling is an admirable initiative as it is good for the environment however it should only go as far as RECYLING one's OWN WASTE ; i.e., only the waste generated by TEL3 residents as part of our own Waste Management System. Going out of our building to basically beg for cardboard scraps from a shop reeks of turning our housekeeping boys into KALAKAL BOYS and Lafayette III is most definitely NOT a JUNK SHOP !!!
Just to add we almost lost our dear "Kuya Mel" as the former president inserted one of his guys as maintenance. Those were also the times when our admin office only had ONE STAFF LEFT... our Admin Officer Monique Pallaris and even she was almost forced to resign by February 2017. Oh well... those were the days...
2017 Staff Christmas Party
Hence, on my first Christmas as president (after the former president resigned 3 days before the General Assembly) I brought back this "T-shirt Thingy" to give our staff a sense of solidarity for "Team TEL3" and gave them a Christmas design on a red t-shirt. Though later on I realized 2 things :
The full front (ironed on) print design is not really comfortable as the sweat collects on it ;
They wanted something that will be reusable on a weekend "casual" Saturday just liek their old green Lafayette III t-shirt; hence, the next designs where no longer full-page iron-ons.
2021 Feeling FUN-demic
On the 2nd year of the COVID pandemic I wanted to give a design that gives a positive vibe to counter the negatives of the ongoing pandemic. We've been on lockdown long enough and it has been tolling for everyone's mental wellness... Hence instead of feeling depressed about the pandemic we turn it on its head and Feel FUN-demic instead...
On the 22nd of October 2022 we held a General Assembly, 3 years after since we last held one in 2019 due to the ongoing COVID pandemic. We wanted to report a lot of developments like Project Digital Paper among many things of which the launch of the myTEL3home.org website (blog site) was part of which will serve as an electronic bulletin board of sort in the cloud (internet) for The Eastwood Lafayette III. But due to an "interesting event" we have been prevented from doing so... Oh well... They're back...
From my opening remarks video on that General Assembly, I mentioned the mantra from the 2017 GA poster I created which says... "We're Building Community at myTEL3home..."
... and that 5 years hence the mantra stays the same.... but now it's... "We're Building Community... at myTEL3home.org..."
And finally if "We're Building Community..." we have to "Build the Builders" who are the frontliners in building our community.... Hence this T-shirt update for the 2023 Team Building Activities of Team TEL3.
By the way... Since the web domain www.myTEL3home.org has been launched on 22 October 22 it has already grown with several subdomains or branches :
These things are being built just from the personal effort of yours truly so please be patient as I try to build our home on the cloud... Hopefully when the Back Office has fully realized its functions with workshop area and computer learning desk then perhaps I can already delegate some of the web updates for staff willing to learn such.
For the meantime, it is all me... But don't you worry... I can do this while watching Netflix... ;)
