Thanks For Attending Coffee Saturday #1 on Fire Safety

 Dear Lafayette 3 Residents,

A big Thank You to those who attend the very first Coffee Saturday on TEL3 Fire Safety Systems Awareness and Review last July 11.  It was a productive 2 hours of discussion. Lay rest assured that today's session is the first of many Coffee Saturdays for continuous education of residents to keep our community safe.  There are actually a lot more slides (nature of fire, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, emergency broadcast message templates) but we'll just have to tackle them in future sessions.

General overview of TEL3 Fire Safety Systems. The Physical Building Systems of course is just one hald of Fire Safety. The other half is the Human Factor which needs constant education.

We are taking notes on all of the suggestions given and will try to implement things if possible like reconsideration(or re-negotiating?) of the BFP mandatory 4 floor re-entry for the Fire Exits... plus the ERT Viber (?) Broadcast Channel for Alerts.

Preparing the slides were time consuming but necessary... But don't worry creating and designing the slides with generative AI like Google Gemini and ChatGPT is actually quite fun.  So that today's slides will continuously be useful I actually have in mind making a video form of it and will upload the video on TEL3's YouTube channel @myTEL3home... hopefully  by next weekend...

Special thanks to Mr. Daniel Yu⁩ who made an effort to travel to Lafayette 3 for this Coffee Saturday session.  He even brought a sample of a Fire Escape Emergency Respiratory Mask. Unfortunately due to time constraints we have to discuss (or demo?) this in future sessions like on Emergency Response Teams (TEL3, ECEA, etc.) as well as ERT equipment we may need.

If we do decide to purchase this in bulk, we'll look for a supplier with masks that passed EN403 certification as it makes sure to handle the "Toxic Twins" in Fire Safety: Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Cyanide.  I have slides discussing the twins (to explain why many were sent to the ICU in the Olympic Heights fire) but have to defer this for future sessions.

lah..
